Today, the day after the pricegiving, the race is closing and the staff have worked hard to put everything back to normal again. We got a word with race director Mikael Lindnord:
"I think we proved with this years edition and the ARWC 2006 course, that you can do a tough race with most of the teams making over 500km and surviving. Today, adventure racing is a sport and the athletes don't want to get injured and spend months on rehab."
"All congratulations we got from everyone feels unbelievable and during the race we got so many stories from the fans, family members to the teams, media and adventure racers that have spent so many hours on the internet following the race. And we can also see that on the web statistics that the viewers spend over 15 minutes in average on every visit, some spend many hours "
