Team Nomad (USA)

Team Captain: Scott Cole
www.teamnomad.com

Scott Cole (United States)

History:

Vancouver, Washington
Environmental Consultant
Duke University, B.A. 1999

Athletic Background
A former traditional athlete (football, basketball, lacrosse, rugby) that was always “caught from behind,” Scott has now found the sport for his slow twitch muscles. Scott's strengths include endurance mountain biking, road cycling, and trail running. When not training for adventure races, Scott likes to paddle whitewater rivers in New England, cross-country ski, or practice Baptiste Power Yoga.

Cary Kinross Wright (United States)

History:

Denver, Colorado
Venture Capitalist
Colorado School of Mines, B.S. 1994
Wharton School & Lauder Institute, MBA/MA, 2000

Athletic Background
Cary grew up in the mountains of Montana, where she has skiied and backpacked since the age of four. In high school, Cary played traditional competitive sports – volleyball and track –and didn't discover endurance events until she qualified and completed the Boston Marathon. Shortly after, she attempted her first 24-hour adventure race (and nearly finished!).

Grant Sisler (United States)

History:

San Francisco, Ca
Acquisitions Manager, Real Estate
Duke University, B.A. 1999

Athletic Background
Grant grew up as a competitive skier and soccer player in Northern California, and has always excelled in teams sports. In college, he played volleyball and ultimate frisbee competitively. He would much rather be on solid ground then in the water.

Jason Shibata (United States)

History:

Colorado Springs, Colorado
Engineer, US Air Force
Duke University, B.S. 1999

Athletic Background
Jason "Shibby" Shibata was a competitive Division I sprinter in college. Since college Shibby has become a skiing addict, drawn to the "steep and deep" backcountry snow in Colorado and Utah.
