Explore Sweden 2005 turned out to be a success, and will next year arrange the AR World Championships 2006.

Today, Geoff Hunt, president for AR World Series, announced that Explore Sweden will arrange the world champs in adventure racing 2006. "I am psyched to have Mikael and Helena arrange the world champs in 2006!" said Geoff when he announced the news directly after the price ceremony this evening.

Explore Sweden 2006 will take place 1st of August to 8th of August with destination somewhere in Sweden.

Race directors Helena Lind and Mikael Nordström are very proud for the confidence that AR World Series shows by appointing them to arrange the World Champions. "A long and conscious effort to arrange adventure races is finally paying off," says Mikael Nordström.

"We have with Explore Sweden 2004 and 2005 showed that we can arrange adventure races of world class, and that we now have to opportunity to arrange the World Champs in 2006 is a big dream that comes true," smiles a happy Helena Lind.

"Where in Sweden the race will take place is not yet decided. There are several good destination alternatives," says Mikael Nordström.
