Information to the teams.

Ice Claws
Because of many teams having problems finding Ice Claws, the organisation have decided to provide every participant with a pair of Ice Claw, that you can keep. This will be handed out to everyone during the registration.

You can check out the webpage www.exploresweden.se and Newsletter 4 - the PDF and there you will find a picture of the Ice Claws. You will also have a picture of the kayak that you will be using during the race.

After the meeting at Örnsköldsviks Ariport, you will be transported to an outdoor shop and if you want to be sure that they have the gear that you want, you can e-mail to them at: store9@naturkompaniet.se  (attention: Mats)

Kickspark
The Kickspark section is cancelled, because of pour ice. But Kickbike is still on.

Kayakwagon
We can hire kayak-wagons to you if you are having problems finding. But there are not so many just 6 and I need to know if you want to hire this before Monday morning, because they need to mail them to us!
The wagon is of the brand Inkasvagn with a wheel diameter of 25 cm. You can check out www.linder.se and there you will find a picture of the wagon.

Gear transport from Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
You have two alternatives when you come to Arlanda Airport, with your gear-boxes, and want to use our service to get them to the race destination.

The first alternative is to leave your boxes at Arlanda Airport and then you should leave them at Bagport/Terminalservice where you find at Terminal 5, one floor down. (Floor 1)There will be good signs all the way.
When you leave the boxes you must say that Explore Sweden crew will pick them up at the 12th May. This will cost about 15 Euro to have the luggage waiting. If you having problem finding the Bagport you will reach them at the phone number: +46 8 797 62 28

The other alternative is to meet up with our crew that will be collecting the boxes. This will be during the 12th May at lunchtime and then you will have the phone number to our crew at: +46 70 5770683.

Please remember to notify us how many luggage you will leave and which team, to Helena@exploresweden.se or cellphone: +46 70-17 49 681.
The payment should be done at the registration the 13/5 and it´s 80 Euro per person.

Skis
You are only allowed to bring one pair of skis to the meeting point. You will understand why when you get the roadbook!

Maps
We will also make a note for having own maps. It’s just the maps that will be provided from the organisation that you will race on. Having own maps will lead to disqualification.

Cold Race…
We want to make sure so you understand that this is going to be a cold race!! And we recommend you to have type of waterproof socks like sealskins during the orienteering sections.
The water is really cold and parts of the course, in forest it will be very wet and cold. You need also prepare so that you have enough with extra change of clothes with you.
During the nights it can be really cold so prepare yourselves!
