Salomon Suisse, Buff Nike-ACG and Montrail have now left Gielas for the Kickbike
section. On water-soaked dirt roads they will race towards the Via
Ferrata and the final ski run down to Hotel Kittelfjäll.
After
an almost 3 hour break, the Swiss forced themselves to continue
towards the finish. Luc has recovered from his early sickness and feels
good, but now his team mates Alain and François have stomach
problems.
Team Montrail have been struggling with the skiing, South African racer
Martin Dreyer saying: "This is my first day skiing and I have crashed
almost 60 times, my body is all sore, but I'm enjoying it very much".
Spanish team Buff Nike-ACG had some big navigation problems in the
snow storm and lost a lot of time on CP 37, but with their ski-alpinism
ski gear they gained time on the downhill run to CP 42.
This looks to be a thriller... |
