The race is coming to an end

Kickbiking - A discipline you won't see in every multisport race

The second edition of the Explore Sweden Expedition Adventure Race is running towards its end. Team Cross Sportswear set out on the kick bike section one hour fifteen minutes ago. They look strong, even though they were not too happy about this second last leg of the race. The wind is blowing hard at them as they are kicking their way towards the Via Ferrata and the finish line. It is also snowing a nasty wet snow, making the conditions in the mountains pretty miserable. “The wind picked up as we were getting down form the mountains. I feel sorry for the teams that are up there now,” said Natasha Vestling on Cross while kicking her way on the muddy road between Gielas and Kittelfjäll.

Team Lundhags have lost a little time against Cross, and they are now 1h 10 min behind on the kick bike. Team Energizer has stopped to rest at CP 34 since they are not feeling a hundred percent okay, before they continue up into the mountains. They do not know yet if they will be able to continue the race. The rest of the teams are out in the mountains, except Tscherning-Loberen that will leave Saxnäs in about an hour, and Team Nomad who are on their way in to Saxnäs for the five hour mandatory rest.
