EQUIPMENT
All equipment shall pass the inspection and be accepted at the registration.
All equipment you bring in to a section must be brought out.
It's not allowed to leave any equipment, trash or waste on the track, this leads to time penalty or disqualification.
The obligatory equipment shall be shown at any time for the organisation. For every missed equipment detail you will get 30 min penalty. The penalty time will be added to the race time.
A team is allowed to have 5 boxes/bags and 4 bike hardcases. No paddles or extra sails.
Race suit
It's mandatory to always wear the bib vest on top, and please wear similar clothes.
Boxes/bags
5 boxes/bags per team. Max 182 litre per box/bag. 1 box per destination (3 totally), 1 box containing mountaineering equipment and 1 box at the finish line. The organisation will transport the boxes/bags. The team will have access to the box/bag 2-3 times per destination including the "flight zone". You can load the box/bag at the registration with extra clothes and food.
Mandatory full time team equipment
- 1 Altimeter
- 2 Compasses
- 1 Cell phone, water proofed.
- 1 Whistle
- 2 Waterproof map holders, for maps and road book.
- 20 Matches, water proofed.
- 1 Tent, for 4 persons lying down with floor. Not just inner tent. Sup air is ok.
- 1 Red waterproof pen
Note: Any kind of knives are forbidden.
Mandatory full time team First aid kit
- 1 small, Dry bag for the First aid kit.
- 5 m Duct tape
- 5 m , 5 cm wide gauze roll.
- 10 ml Betadine Solution.
- 1 survival blanket.
- 1 First aid tweezer.
- 8 Second Skin. Compeed.
- 60 cm x 2,5cm Adhesive tape.
- 1 Strobe light - White (no headlamp or bike lights) Mandatory 3km visibility. Recommended: "Princetontec Aqua strobe".
- 4 Glow sticks.
Mandatory full time personal equipment (if the Roadbook does not say otherwise)
- 1 Backpack min 25 litre , Recommended 40 litre .
- 1 Beanie/Buff
- 1 Gloves, long finger with leather palm.
- 1 Long sleeves fleece top, minimum 200 g .
- 1 Waterproof jacket (Gore-Tex type)
- 1 Waterproof pants (Gore-Tex type)
- 1 Head torch + min. 1 set spare batteries.
- 1 Drybag.
- 1 Sleepingbag, water protection (min 500g)
- 1 approved UIAA climbing helmet (biking helmet not accepted). Recommended: Petzl Meteor, Kong Scarab, Petzl Elios.
- 1 approved UIAA climbing harness
- 1, 150 cm prussic loop ( 7 mm )
- 1 descender/ belay device like, ATC or figure 8.
- 4 Self locking carabiners. Unacceptable screw carabiners. Recommended Petzl William spinball.

1 Via-Ferrata set per person. Recommended Petzl Zyper-Y. www.petzl.com
- 1 Life jacket. Inflatable life jackets are not acceptable. 1 Whistle attached to the life jacket.
- 1 Wetsuit. "Longjohn", one-piece wetsuit (no arms).
- 1 Personal Race Badge. Mandatory for aircraft admittance.

Mountaineering personal equipment
- 1 Mountain boots with hard sole "Vibram", over the ankle support. Suitable for crampons. High running shoes are not allowed.
- 1 pair of Crampons. Covering the whole sole.
- 1 Ice axe, min 50 cm , with leash. Race Ice axes are ok.
- 1 pair of Snowshoes.
Note: Any kind of skis are forbidden during the mountaineering section.
Mountaineering team equipment
- 1,
50 m dynamic rope, min 8,1 mm. (UIAA Certified Double rope). Will be measured at registration and during equipment check on the course.
- 1 Stove with fuel.
- 1 Container of minimum 1 litre .
- 1 Box of matches, waterproofed.
Mountainbike personal epuipment
- 1 Mountain bike.
- 1 Helmet, Climbing helmet is ok.
- 1 Red light (mounted on the back of the bike).
- 1 Spare tube.
- 1 pair bike shoes.
- 1-2 Bike tights.
- 1 Bike hardcase.
Mountainbike team epuipment
- 1-4 Bike tools-kit.
- 2 Pumps per team.
The organisation will transport the bikes between and under the destinations in the hardcases. The team must take apart and put together the bikes by themselves.
Besides the helmet, only the mountainbike gear listed above shall be inside the bike hardcase during transport. Food is not allowed in the bike hardcases.
Inlines personal equipment
- 1 Inlines skates
Open water swimming personal equipment
- 1 pair of Flippers.
- 1 pair of Neoprene socks.
- 1 Swimming glasses.
Mandatory team equipment supplied by the organisation
- 2 Canadian canoes with 4 paddles.
- 1 River raft with 4 paddles.
- 1 Road book and map-kit per destination. Given to the team at the destination's first CP. The maps are on the scale of: 1:5.000 + 1:15.000 + 1:50.000 + 1:100.000.
- 4 Bib-vest to be worn all times, even on top of the life-jackets.
- 4 Number plates on the bike bar.
Recommended equipment - Trekking poles, has to fit in the box/bag.
Please note: The organisation will provide the paddles, you are not allowed to bring your own. The climbing helmet is approved to wear on every section where a helmet is required.
